The long-lasting cooperation with Steve de Shazer and Insoo Kim Berg and their many innovations in SF practice have made BRIEF a leading center for the development and teaching of SF Brief Therapy and Coaching. Chris has authored several books, among them “Brief Coaching. A Solution Focused Approach”.
Dominik Godat and his partner Elfie Czerny are passionately spreading the art of co-creating better conversations in organisations and beyond.
He is a solution-focused practitioner, author, trainer, and co-founder of SF on Tour and the Center for Solution Focused Leadership & Conversations. Dominik and Elfie host the SIMPLY FOCUS podcast and have visited many of the pioneers of Solution-Focus and Microanalysis of Face-to-Face Dialogue.
In the last few years, they have developed integrated Microanalysis of Face-to-Face Dialogue concepts to enhance Leadership Conversations.

From the Netherlands, Ella de Jong is a solution-focused enthusiast. She is a teacher, writer, and trainer with a master’s degree in ecological pedagogy. She began her career as a counselor for children and families and has taught in primary schools for over 35 years, with much of her experience focusing on non-formal and special education.
Ella now delivers accredited training courses and workshops about self-activating, solution-focused approaches and has trained at conferences in the Netherlands, Germany, Bulgaria, Italy, the USA, and Canada. Her e-book, Solution-Focused Mentoring: Five Steps to Bring Out the Best in Your Mentee and Yourself has been downloaded over 35,000 times.
A youth work practitioner for the past two decades, Joe specialises in working with children and youths in the community. Joe enjoys the challenges and thrills of this work. He started as a caseworker himself, overseeing individuals, families and programmes until today where he heads the Youth Service of REACH Community Services Society (Singapore). With his dedication to coach his team of social workers, counsellors and youth workers, the team reaches out to over 800 youths every month all over Singapore through its holistic services and programmes. His training in social work helps to provide a systems perspective to complex issues and problems. Being trained in the Solution Focused Approach in both therapy and coaching offers a unique way of looking at individuals across a broad spectrum of needs and goals.

Lance Fortner is a counsellor, coach and educator with 20+ years of experience, and post-graduate training in solution-focused practice.
Blending mindfulness, mediation solutions and pastoral care, Lance provides individuals and communities with strategies that guide greater growth mindset, constructive communication methods and efforts to promote healthy well-being.
Following foundational work in university student counselling and development, Lance transitioned to family mental health services in the State of New Hampshire in the US where he led a non-profit grassroots organisation for at-risk students. Lance’s family then went to Boston, where he continued his community work. In 2013, he moved with his family to Germany, where he has since provided counselling within an international community in Heidelberg.

Dr Mark McKergow is co-director of sfwork – The Centre for Solutions Focus at Work, based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
He is an international consultant, speaker and author. Many people around the world have been inspired by his work in Solutions Focus – presented wth his inimitable blend of scientific rigour and performance pizzazz. Mark was instrumental in starting the SOLWorld network of organisational SF practitioners in 2002. He is a reviewed SFiO contributor and supervises coaches and SF practitioners.
