Introduction by Carey Glass
If you want a delicious taster for the SOLWorld University in October, or just because it is plain mouth-watering, listen to this audio while driving or making dinner. I listened to both Zarine Jacob and Paul Z Jackson.
Fifty years since the birth of SF, Zarine is curious about the future:
- What do we hope future practitioners will inherit and build on from the 50 years of SF?
- Given that SF was born in a different world to the one we now inhabit, will it need to adapt at all and if so how? Maybe, as dealing with uncertainty is in the DNA of SF, it won’t?
Paul is making the art of improvisation very real for SF practitioners. As we improvise continuously when co-constructing conversations, he wonders how we come up with the next useful question after what has been said. We are certainly making choices.
- How do we do that?
- What is guiding us?
- What are the tips for doing better?
This is just a sample of what the SOLWorld university will offer, giving us time to reflect on our practice and explore the great themes of SF. Listen now!
About the SOLWorld University
The SOLWorld University in October 2026 is a relaxed and creative gathering where experienced Solution Focus practitioners in organisations come together to expand and evolve the practice.
It is a space for original thinking and meaningful dialogue, where “big ideas” are explored, unusual and sometimes provocative questions are welcomed, and new possibilities are allowed to emerge. In a beautiful and inspiring setting, participants reconnect with what matters, deepen their practice, and contribute to keeping Solution Focus alive, relevant, and evolving.
